Performance, reliability and race proven. EMPI HPMX Carbs. offer ultimate engine tuning with total air and fuel metering and adjustment. The EMPI HPMX series have separate idle and main circuits featuring changeable air and fuel jets. Intake air is metered by changeable venturies, and the accelerator pump is adjustable for maximum acceleration. Jets, gaskets and repair parts are readily available. All our kits are prejetted for most VW engines but custom jetting might be required for your application. Choose the appropriate size carburetor for your application. The Basic rule of thumb is 40mm carbs for engines up to 2000cc and 44mm carbs for engines 2100cc and larger. Dual 40 HPMX Carbs come with .52 Idle Jets, .115 Main Jets, .200 Air Jets, 28mm Venturi, .550 Ex. Pump Jets, and .50 Accelerator Pump Jets. All EMPI 40/44 HPMX Carbs are test run.
